andrew millison designer and permaculture specialist
Andrew Millison is recognized for his extensive knowledge of permaculture and its hands-on application. He
brings the ethics and systems-thinking approach of permaculture, which integrates architectural, agricultural,
ecological and social systems, to design projects for individuals and entire communities. He also enjoys a
practical knowledge of landscape construction. He founded and ran a landscape contracting company
that emphasized ecological sensitivity and sustainable design. He has served as manager of the farm at
architect Paulo Soleri’s Arcosanti and as construction foreman for another Prescott-based ecological
landscape architecture firm. He has been teaching permaculture at all levels at Prescott College since 2001
and at the Ecosa Institute since 2002. His special areas of expertise include water harvesting, food production
and heirloom fruit trees of the Southwest.
